Best 4 Business Communications Introduces Panasonic Go Connect To Its Ever Growing Portfolio…

By Joe Magee on February 7, 2011

In the modern business world, and even more so in the current financial climate, the importance of integration between a company’s IT infrastructure and it’s communication network to ensure a high level of productivity and efficiency is key. Panasonic and Best 4 Business Communications have now made the amalgamation of various CRM software and communication software easier than ever with the introduction of Panasonic Go Connect.

Go Connect is a state of the art desktop based Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) product. Go connect has been designed to help you get the most out of your Panasonic business telephone system by linking it with your IT infrastructure. Whether you have a Panasonic NCP, or Panasonic TDE digital PBX, B4BC can install the Go Connect software for your business.

Panasonic Go Connect can help your business in the following ways;

-       Making calls from your PC is very straightforward with Go Connect for Panasonic. It has been proven in various trials that Go Connect will increase your productivity by saving you time and reducing the number of misdialled numbers.

-       Panasonic Go Connect can be used to inform the user who is calling before they answer the phone. This can prove beneficial in many ways. This allows the user to be more prepared for any call which they may receive, and can also be a huge help when you are busy working on a project it can allow you to be selective about which calls to answer. Also, it can allow the user to greet the caller in a more personal way. When receiving a call it is very easy to store the caller’s name for future use. Also with CRM integration, callers’ details are quickly searched and displayed.

-       Go Connect for Panasonic provides a quick and easy method to transfer calls. Through the presence window it allows users to see the availability of their colleagues and make intelligent decisions when transferring calls.
Users can perform an immediate transfer to quickly distribute calls. Or they can easily use Go Connect for Panasonic to consult with colleagues and switch between calls.

-       The Call history window is also incredibly useful for quick reference, this contains a list of an extension user’s recent calls. By default, the most recent 50 calls are displayed.
Users can page through to see earlier calls. Users can make calls directly from the Call history window.

As we mentioned earlier, one of the key features of Go Connect is the compatibility with the most popular CRM software used worldwide. These are just some of the programs which work with Panasonic Go Connect;

ACT!

GoldMine

Lotus Notes

Maximizer

Microsoft Access

Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Microsoft Dynamics NAV

Microsoft Outlook

Panasonic IP CCTV Provided By B4BC

By Joe Magee on January 21, 2011

With state of the art features such as face recognition, Auto back focus, SD card network back up and HD recording it’s no wonder that Panasonic have been chosen as IP CCTV Security providers for the London 2012 Olympics. The entire Panasonic IP CCTV range is now available from Best 4 Business Communications.

Over the last 10 years, Panasonic have been the leading providers for analogue CCTV security systems providing between 10%-20% of the market. In 2010, Panasonic sold to 15% of the IP CCTV security market, rapidly catching up with the market leaders Axis, who sold 35%, a 15% decrease from 2009.

IP CCTV cameras have become increasingly popular in recent years as they offer better quality video recording, have several features which are unavailable with analogue CCTV, and use fewer cables compared to the older analogue systems, this is because IP CCTV Security Cameras use Ethernet cables and routers which are usually already available on site. IP CCTV has also made adding additional cameras to an existing IP system at a later date much easier should they be required.

Panasonic follow the following criteria in order to provide a bespoke IP CCTV solution for your business;

1. Choosing the appropriate cameras for site

Over the past 18 months Panasonic have extended their range of IP CCTV Security from around 10 Cameras to over 50 Cameras. These include standard Fixed VGA Cameras, 1.3 to 3 Megapixel Cameras and more advanced Smart HD Cameras. All of which, can benefit from Features such as Pan, Tilt and Zoom.

More Recently Panasonic Have Released their smart HD camera range, which offer more security features, better video playback quality and a simpler installation process with less maintenance required. The days of face detection have not only been revolutionised it has been integrated into something other than a Digital camera. The smart HD range can not only detect up to 8 faces in one shot it can recognise a face from a database of workers and trigger an alarm or email notification should they be unrecognised or unauthorised to be in that department of the building. Smart HD Cameras can be for internal and external use and all feature Auto Back Focus which makes the day to day maintenance and the installation process of the IP cameras much faster and much easier, Once Fitted, the cameras will automatically focus themselves into position which can reduce installation times by up to half a day. They also automatically focus in the same way should the camera be manually moved or vandalised in any way, shape or form. Meaning you can avoid unnecessary call out charges to refocus the camera. Auto Back Focus is also used to switch between day and night modes on the camera as opposed to doing it manually. Obviously, with security being a very important aspect of any business and with the internet not being as reliable as we would like it to be all Panasonic IP CCTV Security Cameras are fitted with a SD Card for network back up. So, if the internet was to go down the cameras will automatically start to record onto the SD Card and to save even more time as soon as the internet comes back up the SD card will automatically upload all the data it has recorded onto the System.

2. Choosing the correct recording equipment:

This can be just as important as choosing the cameras for your business as you want to make sure there is enough room to add additional equipment if required. You also need to make sure that it’s suitable and compatible with your chosen IP CCTV Security Camera. For this reason, Panasonic have released their purpose-built NVR’s embedded with their own version of an Operating System (OS). These Include the NV200, ND300 and ND400 which increase in memory and camera capacity of 16, 32 and 64 cameras.

3. Choosing the correct viewing and playback equipment:

Panasonic have created software that can cater for not only the one site companies, but the multi branch companies. The ASM100 software with a fully functional IP keyboard can allow someone to view and playback up to 6400 IP CCTV Security Cameras at the same time meaning if you are a multi-site company all the viewing of the CCTV could be moved to one site.

If you would like a Demonstration of how IP CCTV Security Cameras can benefit your company, Best 4 Business Communications can arrange for a Panasonic demonstration van to attend site in order to run through the benefits and features on IP CCTV.

For more information on Panasonic IP CCTV please contact the office on 0870 300 3008

Panasonic IP Softphone Makes The World Your Office.

By Joe Magee on November 22, 2010

Panasonic have added an IP Softphone to it’s ever growing VoIP portfolio. One of VoIP’s key advantages is that a telephone no longer has to be, or even look like, a traditional telephone. The reality is that just about any PC, laptop, or PDA can be turned into a telephone simply by adding softphone software.

The Panasonic IP Softphone appeals to several types of phone users, including:
• Office-based executives and managers: softphone technology allows a clutter-free desk as well as a telephone system that integrates with PC sales, brokerage, and other enterprise applications.
• Telecommuters: People who split their time between home and office can use a softphone to access the same phone services — and phone number — at both locations.
• Mobile professionals: When traveling locally, regionally, or globally, a softphone provides reliable phone service without the added cost and burden of a mobile phone. Internationally, it eliminates the need to worry about phone system service quality and device compatibility.

Yet another advantage of the Panasonic IP Softphone is that it can be cheaper to use than a regular telephone, since the technology requires no hardware beyond a network-connected PC or PDA. Phone rates can also be cheaper, thanks to streamlined VoIP service and the absence of most fixed line charges.

Softphones offer the same features as traditional standalone phones. In fact, most softphone programs offer more features than most standard telephones. Among the features available to softphone users are call forwarding, conference calling, Caller ID, and voice mail. A softphone can also integrate with PC and PDA e-mail applications, such as Microsoft Outlook, for easy address book access and automatic phone dialing. Some softphones also provide voice-based instant messaging capabilities. Additionally, many softphones support broadband links, allowing users to enjoy high-quality audio connections and to place video phone calls and conferences.

Best 4 Business Communications – CHAS Registered Supplier

By Joe Magee on October 14, 2010

Best 4 Business Communications has again renewed it’s CHAS registration status for another year.

The purpose of CHAS registration is to ensure businesses adhere to strict health and safety guidelines whilst carrying out important work in schools, health authorities, and other businesses.

Each month thousands of contractors and consultants apply for work with public and private sector organisations. To win work, they must meet the buyer’s health and safety standards.

Assessing suppliers health and safety competence is usually a lengthy and time consuming process. Suppliers can sometimes meet one buyer’s Health and Safety standards but not another. Being CHAS approved reduces duplication as suppliers compliance is accepted by all CHAS buyers.

B4BC have won various contracts with Sheffield LEA over the last couple of years, our CHAS registration no doubt made the decision to choose Best 4 Business Communications as a preferred supplier even easier.

To find out more about Best 4 Business Communications and the work we carry out for schools and other authorities please contact us on 0870 300 3008
